Out now is the debut album "The Process" by Sink, co-released by Kaos Kontrol and Kult of Nihilow.

The Process is a beast that drags you below the surface and lets you gasp for air just enough to keep conscious and experience the horror. Monumental wall of sound built from demented vibrations, violent distortion, wailing feedback, reverberating clashes and almost choral (in)human voices echoing in your mind like amplified painful memories; and when the wall collapses, the undertow pulls you deeper into paranoid and disturbing surroundings filled with static drones, scorching electrical trills and gravely impressive Obscurity that defies mental health. You may never reach back to the surface…

Kaos Kontrol will be organising the sludge night Amplifier Worship II at TVO, Turku (Finland) on May 31st, 2008. Performing on the bill are Fleshpress, Stumm, Loinen, Frogskin and Solar Horn; all fitting more or less within the broad spectrum of the sludge/doom genre.

Tickets cost 5 euros. Doors open at 20.00 and Solar Horn starts immediately after the doors open, so it's advised to show up early!! Kaos Kontrol and Kult of Nihilow will be selling records at the event and hopefully we'll have some new releases available at the event!

Kaos Kontrol will release the debut album "Colossal" from a new Finnish band, Hebosagil this winter! Their blend of styles is yet another original addition to the growing Finnish sludge scene; the band's approach ranging from slow, crushing doom to violent hardcore bursts and riff-heavy sludge, all forced through unhealthy doses of distortion and performed with fiercely rocking energy. "Colossal" includes 7 tracks perfectly showcasing Hebosagil's varied and uncompromising style, but most importantly everything has been tied together with excellent sense of songwriting and dynamics, so unlike too many bands nowadays, the combination of styles doesn't seem pretentious.

No release date has been set for the "Colossal" CD yet, but it will be out during the winter and more information will be revealed closer to the release! Meanwhile, you can visit these links for more information about the band, mp3 samples etc.:

Eye-Ohm-Ee is a new Kaos Kontrol related fanzine dedicated to sludge/doom/drone and related styles of music, not being too strict about genre boundaries yet maintaining a certain connection between the featured bands as well as other possible contents. The first issue will be out by the end of 2007 including interviews with The Austrasian Goat, Hawg Jaw, The Jam Session, 5ive's Continuum Research Project, Conifer, Lazarus Blackstar and possibly more. More details about the contents and release date will follow later...

Even though it is possible that there will be more post-industrial/dark ambient/power electronics/noise releases coming out via Kaos Kontrol in the future, these genres won't be featured in the mailorder with the exception of some carefully selected items and Kaos Kontrol related releases. We encourage everyone to turn to Freak Animal Records for their industrial noise perversions!

Regarding new releases, things are moving slow, but there definitely will be more info available later this year, so stay tuned!
