Intercourse: Pissing Into the Abyss 7"

Intercourse: Pissing Into the Abyss 7"

Connecticut chaotic hardcore merchants Intercourse have gone through a few line-up changes since they first formed in 2014, but instead of weakening them, it's only made them stronger. On their newest 7" EP, they continue down the path of destruction they laid forth with their two previous releases, 2016’s "Enablers" and their self-titled debut from 2014. Lead singer, Tarek Ahmed, the sole remaining original member, is still frothing at the mouth over the things in life that piss him off, while the rest of the band play some of the most disorientating chaoscore behind him. They’re still as wild and out of control as ever. Rage comes at one minute spurts, because that's where all the songs hover around on this six-song 7" EP. Opener "Multiphobic" lets the guitars feedback for a few minutes before getting right down to business, but from there, it's back to the Intercourse, we all know, and love. "Long Island Iced Tea" which closes out Side A, gets its message across in :56 flat, while all the songs on Side B, "Earth Dudes Are Easy", "Most Likely to Succeed", "Cowboys and Immigrants" and “A Vacation from My Problems", all hover around the one minute mark. They get in, mess you up, leave you feel disorientated and get out before you know what hit you. "Pissing Into the Abyss" is one short, exciting shot of high octane fury, all wrapped in a cover that shows what would have happened if Franz Kafka wrote porn. Translucent golden shower coloured vinyl in black/white/green sleeve with digital download coupon. Limited edition of 300 copies.
