Every now and then a band name hits the spot. With a name like The Feral Young you would expect something vicious and untamed, energetic, loud and noisy. That is exactly what The Feral Young are offering and there's much more to them than just the name. "I Haven't Seen Myself in a While" presents the band's debut vinyl release following 2017's "Failures" digital EP.

The Turku-based quartet's noise rock carries much less 90s AmRep baggage compared to other currently active bands in the genre. Nonetheless there's a vibe which remains the foundation of the genre: the energy and snottiness of punk rock with the freak-out fuzz of garage rock thrown in the blender with some subtle melodic indie rock tendencies. You can hear contemporary bands such as Whores. or Metz in The Feral Young's sound, but at their grooviest you might even find echoes of Queens of the Stone Age.
